About

AMG Technologies provides advanced digital subsurface diagnostics using non-destructive testing and digital twin modelling to support data-driven infrastructure management.
We harness the power of digital tools to enhance infrastructure durability, reduce lifecycle costs, and support sustainability. Our approach enables targeted maintenance strategies, reduce environmental impact, ensure safety and promotes smarter, long-term asset management.

Competitive advantage of the solutions

Our strength lies in the combination of three key elements brought together by a multidisciplinary team with decades of recognized experience in the road, railway, and airport sectors:

Advanced expertise in non-destructive testing digital equipment used within the solution.

Extensive experience in infrastructure design and rehabilitation, ensuring practical and scalable applications.

In-depth knowledge of aircraft, airfield characteristics, traffic loads, and motorway behaviour, including their interactions under various scenarios and the resulting impacts.

This also includes the ability to deliver precise ACR-PCR assessments in line with ICAO 2022 standards.

Benefit for the customer

Non-destructive testing is used to create a digital twin of the pavement surface and subsurface—with no impact on traffic or infrastructure.

The digital twin enables targeted assessment, monitoring, and maintenance planning of subsurface conditions.

The solution helps owners, operators, and contractors reduce operating costs, enhance safety, lower environmental impact, and prevent costly failures through proactive maintenance.

Integrating this proactive approach into routine asset management allows early detection of infrastructure deterioration, helping mitigate structural failures and significantly reduce both direct and indirect maintenance costs.

The information provided here offers only a brief overview of our capabilities. For a more detailed discussion tailored to your specific requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us via email.

I will be pleased to arrange a meeting to further elaborate on our services, address your technical questions, and present relevant project outcomes and success references.

Dr. Rani Hamrouche

Dr. Rani Hamrouche, an expert in NDT technologies, brings 17 years of experience in traffic infrastructure diagnostics using advanced Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology.

In 2007, Dr. Hamrouche began his academic journey with a dual PhD program between the University of Sherbrooke (Canada) and Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse (France), focusing on developing GPR imaging algorithms for digital twin creation.

In 2012, he joined Roadscanners Oy as a GPR specialist. In addition to participating in over 50 international projects, he contributed to R&D with innovations such as the "coreless technique", achieving 5% accuracy without physical core samples.

He also played a key role in developing GPR data processing methods to detect excavation-damaged zones (crack detection) ahead of nuclear waste disposal into bedrock—an initiative for Posiva Oy, the Finnish company behind the world’s first deep geological repository. Dr. Hamrouche is the primary contributor to three patents.

As head of Roadscanners’ airport division, he further developed tools and processes tailored to GPR applications in airport infrastructure.

With the creation of AMG Technologies, Dr. Hamrouche is extending his value proposition by forming multidisciplinary partnerships with infrastructure experts. The goal: to integrate various technologies and deliver sustainable, durable, and reliable infrastructure solutions.
